FROM THE DESK OF PRINCIPAL JIM GRAHAM:

Welcome to Walkerton District Community School.

WDCS is a place of possibility, resilience, and bright futures. We are proud to be a vibrant K–12 learning community. WDCS is a place where students are known, supported, and challenged to grow - academically, creatively, and personally.

Our strength lies in the breadth and quality of programming we offer. From strong foundations in literacy, mathematics, science, and technology, to innovative opportunities in robotics, skilled trades, and creative arts, our students are encouraged to explore their interests and discover their potential. Our secondary programs, including SHSM, Cooperative Education, OYAP, and experiential learning pathways, support students as they prepare for apprenticeships, college, university, and meaningful careers beyond school.

Music, visual arts, athletics, and extracurricular activities play a vital role in student life at WDCS: "Go Riverhawks!" These programs foster creativity, collaboration, leadership, and confidence - skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Just as important is the culture we continue to build together. WDCS is strengthened by engaged families, dedicated staff, and a close-knit community that values inclusion, care, and belonging. We believe in the power of partnership and the importance of creating a safe, welcoming environment where every student feels seen, valued, and supported.

It is a privilege to serve as principal of this remarkable school. I invite you to explore our website or reach out to our offices to learn more about our programs, and see firsthand what makes Walkerton District Community School such a special place to learn and grow.

Yours in the Education of Partnership,
Mr. Jim Graham
Principal
